Revive developer Rescues Rift from Google Earth VR's exclusivity!

One good ironic turn deserves another...

Just hours after Earth VR's release, however, who comes to Oculus Rift's rescue but CrossVR -- the kickass developer who created the Revive compatibility layer to enable the HTC Vive to run Oculus Rift games!  The same developer who Oculus at one point tried to hinder by using a hardware check to prevent Revive from working.  The same develeoper who had been criticized by some Oculus Rift users for creating Revive. And now the developer who has opened Earth VR to frustrated Oculus Rift users (including me)!

Shoe is on the other foot as Google Earth VR is released for HTC Vive but not Oculus Rift

Google just released Google Earth VR on Steam for the HTC Vive (reviewed here), and it's an amazing (and free) app that lets you explore famous sights around the world in VR.  However, it appears that Google Earth VR will work only on HTC Vive and not the Oculus Rift (reviewed here), leaving some Oculus Rift users complaining ironically about exclusivity.

I pitted three 4k-capable consumer 360 cameras against each other to see which has the best video quality:
          the Samsung Gear 360 ($350),
          the Nikon Keymission ($499), and
          the Kodak SP360 4k Dual Pro ($899).
I also added the Insta360 Nano ($199), which has near-4k resolution at 3040 x 1520 to the comparison.  Check out the test videos to see which one emerged as the winner!

(Note: I had also compared the video quality from the Ricoh Theta S ($349) and LG 360 Cam ($199) previously.  If you want to see how those cameras compare to these 4k cameras, see here.)
